Houston-area business specializing in oil paintings

Abbi Shupe Art is a Houston-area business owned by Abbigail (Abbi) Shupe. In addition to being an entrepreneur, Abbi is a fine artist who started painting as a young child. Her mother often joked that Abbi was born with a paint brush in her hand. Her family was a strong supporter of the arts and her creativity. At the age of 10, Abbi studied under the New Orleans artist Greg Chappell, who further nurtured her artistic abilities and entered her into the Louisiana Duck Stamp Contests. Abbi continued her study of art through college, where she graduated with honors earning a fine art associate degree from Delgado Community College in New Orleans.

She primarily creates oil paintings on canvas of flowers, people and scenery, but also enjoys mixed media such as chalk pastels, graphite and ink.

Abbi's fine art has been recognized in several art competitions with the following awards:

1st place in the 2001 Junior Duck Stamp Contest for the state of Louisiana

1st place in the 2005 Junior Duck Stamp Contest for the state of Louisiana

Abbi now resides in Houston. Her art has been exhibited in venues such as at Station Houston in downtown Houston. Her art was also shown at the Delgado Student Art Gallery in New Orleans in 2012 and 2013.

Abbi was also featured at the Las Laguna Art Gallery "2021 Women in Art" and the Art by Taurean National Art Tour in 2020.

Abbi was featured in the Artistonish Contemporary Art Magazine Issue #17 in December of 2021. The Painting featured there was "Power".
